I shared this on your FB page but I think it bares repeating here as I'm concerned that people may think all is well and move on from this topic too quickly.
"I saw Dr. Adamson on PBS and I appreciate that time on those types of shows is short and you can't say and explain things thoroughly, but I disagree with his statement that a matter of a few days or a week would not have a negative impact on a child. I think it depends on where the child is in treatment. When my son Joey relapsed, isolated to the CNS (high risk tcell ALL) in Aug of 2010, he had 5... lps with ITMTX in 15 days. The IT MTX put him back in remission. Had he not been able to receive those doses, I don't know where we'd be right now but I know we would have had to go straight to a BMT. If any of his high dose MTX treatments had not been available that would also have changed the course of his treatment. His 3 new agents which have kept a BMT off the table, at least for now, are cranial and spinal radiation (only had cranial frontline) Nelarabine and HD MTX. He has only been count dependent for the Nelarabine. HD MTX proceeded as per his roadmap regardless."
