Here is a starting idea...
OK, the idea here is for us to figure out what to do for NCCAM 2009. By then we will be 10,000 STRONG! Or more.
#1 - True to our mission statement, the corporations that we are collecting info on in the NCCAM 2009 Group will be approached with the idea of promoting AWARENESS. The message obviously needs to be better defined; materials prepared, etc., but it will NOT be a fundraising effort on behalf of any single organization. Please, let’s not just shout out ideas. Do the research, think it through, connect the dots, then post your info with links, rationale, and a suggested tie in between childhood cancer and the companies.
#2 - The second part of planning for next September will be a media campaign. We will be looking to identify all major news outlets, establish contact and discuss this story with then as soon as possible. This will not be another “Letter to the Editor” attempt. We will find the right person, gain his or her support, and be ready when the time comes.
