Granddaughter died from Medulloblastoma after a 16 month battle with the disease.
Optional question where you can tell us more about you, your child, your reasons to be here, or simply introduce yourself.
My 8 yr. old granddaughter was a very healthy child up until January 2009. My daughter kept taking her to the doctor and the emergency room trying to find out what was wrong with her. Finally, we got our answer on March 2009, the answer that no parent or grandparent wants to hear. Your child has cancer! The first few days all that I did was cry and wonder how we were going to deal with this situation. She went through all of the treatments and on December 23,2009, we were told that the cancer was gone, but in May 2010, we received the dreaded news that her cancer was back and this time with a vegeance and nothing could be done. They did try different treatments, but on May 28,2010, we lost our little angel and we miss her very much.

I am so sorry to hear about your grand daughter. It is just so very unfair. Sorry you have to be on this web site, but it is a good source of support. My daughter has fought Rhabdomyosarcoma twice. She is 9 now and thankfully doing OK. I spend my spare time advocating for kids with cancer and trying to spread awareness.

    Love and Hugs!
