Assistance with Flights and Travel

 

  • Alex's Lemonade Stand Travel Fund
    Recognizing the financial burden that families often encounter, the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Travel Fund offers assistance to families who face the need to travel for childhood cancer treatment at select medical institutions across the US. Transportation, lodging, and meal accommodations are available to eligible families who meet our criteria. Applications must be received on behalf of a social worker or another medical representative.

  • Patient AirLift Services
    Patient AirLift Services arranges free air transportation based on need to individuals requiring medical care and for other humanitarian purposes. Our network of volunteer pilots provide this service without compensation using their own or rented aircraft. In no case are fees of any kind charged for these services. Generally the individuals who utilize our services have limited financial resources or are receiving diagnosis, treatment or follow-up for various types of acute or chronic illnesses or conditions that make it either financially impossible or otherwise infeasible to use public commercial or private charter transportation.

  • Miracle Flights for Kids
    We're Flying for Your Life! Miracle Flights for Kids® is the nation's leading nonprofit health and welfare organization. Since 1985, Miracle Flights has fulfilled its mission of helping families overcome financial obstacles by providing financial assistance so that their seriously ill children can receive proper medical care and to get second opinions. 84% of all donations received are allocated to helping sick children who have no other options. Over 65,000 flights to date, and counting!

  • Corporate Angel Network
    We arrange free air transportation for cancer patients traveling to treatment using the empty seats on corporate jets. Thanks to the generosity of 530 of America's finest corporations, Corporate Angel Network has arranged more than 35,000 flights since our founding in 1981.

  • Angel Flight Central
    Angel Flight Central (AFC) is a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to removing the burdens of arranging long-distance transportation at times of personal and community crisis. Today, AFC volunteers and supporters throughout the Midwest have made possible over 12,000 flights "free of charge" covering 7 million miles. We are helping thousands of families access specialized health care, special needs camps, and other destinations for disaster response efforts and compassionate reasons.

  • Compass to Care
    Compass to Care is dedicated to scheduling and paying for the travel arrangements families require to seek the best cancer care for their children. Serving as each family's medical travel concierge enables them to solely focus on their child at this critical time.

  • Mercy Medical Airlift
    Links to charitable air-transportation organizations. During calendar year 2010 programs administered by Mercy Medical Airlift provided service to over 22,000 clients with a public benefit in excess of $4,200,000

  • National Patient Travel Center
    The National Patient Travel HELPLINE provides information about all forms of charitable, long-distance medical air transportation and provides referrals to all appropriate sources of help available in the national charitable medical air transportation network. The purpose of the National Patient Travel Center is ".....to ensure that no financially-needy patient is denied access to distant specialized medical evaluation, diagnosis or treatment for lack of a means of long-distance medical air transportation."

  • The Air Care Alliance
    The Air Care Alliance is a nationwide league of humanitarian flying organizations whose volunteer pilot members are dedicated to community service. This site will introduce you to us and to all the groups we list whose volunteers perform public benefit flying for health care, patient transport, disaster relief, educational experiences for youth, environmental support, and other missions of public service.

  • The Air Charity Network
