My name is Anita Wagner and on July 29th 2011 I lost my beautiful radiant little boy Ryan to lymphoma. Ryan was diagnosed september 29th 2010 and exactly 10 months later he would die in my arms. I am living each day now one day at a time, one moment at a time, one breath at a time sometimes even. Ryan deserved to live, he deserved a chance but that was all taken away from him, and so much was taken away from my family and Ryan. I am angry and so very pained from cancer and all it has taken away from us. My beautiful little boy forever 6 years old and it is so wrong! So unfair. Where is the outrage over 7 children dying from cancer every dam day! Where is the cure? I am a mom who lost a child to cancer, and a mom to two boys who lost a brother to cancer, a wife of a father who lost his yougest son to cancer. We advocate, we raise awareness, we have a foundation (it is our only way to parent ryan now) we fund a music therapy program for children with cancer at the hospital Ryan was treated at, we give the gift of an ukulele to these children and we advocate for more awareness, we fundraise for St. Baldricks every year, and CureSerach. I wish there was a way that the entire world of the pediatric cancer community could come together and be one movement, one voice. We are all trying in our very own small corners of the world to scream to shout to make adifference but if we all were heard as one, wow....that would make a difference right? I have been following your cause since Ryan passed away. Sadly I was one of those people who untill childhood cancer affected my family...I didnt know much about it. I knew cancer existed, I knew from watching my favorite aunt die from cancer when she was only 34, but cancer in kids? I didnt want to believe was just so very sad, and I never in a million years would have thought it would be "my son" my Ryan....
