My name is Dan Feltwell my son, Danny as we like to call him, has been diagnosed with T-cell Lymohoblastic Lymphoma on Dec. 1, 2010 at the very young age of 27 mo. old. Our hospitalization started on Nov. 22, 2010 and continued through Oct. 21, 2011 with little time at home during this past 11 months, we spent 259 days and nights as an inpatient. This was due to complications from treatment, side effects of chemotherapy and infections. Although treatment has proven to be difficult on Danny, his Cancer has responded to treatment thus far. Danny is a happy and playful 3yr old little boy. Danny is now in his Maintenance Cycles of his Protocol. He is receiving the Chemotherapy Protocol Capizzi/Nelarabine, Danny is on the Study (AALL0434), and Danny is receiving the Study Chemotherapy Compound Nelarabine.

My son was having a not so good moment, in our good days, because of an infection. I watched him as he slept and thought about how I can have people hear what I say, when speaking of Childhood Cancer. After speaking with many people I have found that unless they feel what I am saying my words may soon be forgotten. So I thought, and figured I would just write what I have seen, and feel, with my son. I wrote this…

Thankful on Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day last year I was in my sons room, I…
