Optional question where you can tell us more about you, your child, your reasons to be here, or simply introduce yourself.
Khalid is my 3 yr old. He is number 7 of 9 children (they are all number 1 to me). My husband and I have his, mine , and ours (3 of each). Khalid was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma in March 2008. He completed the 07 protocol with autogolus stem cell transplant, radiation, and is currently finishing accutane and undergoing 3F8. Khalid was declared N.E.D (no evidence of disease) on September 2nd. Khalid is such a happy little boy. He loves Dora and Max and Ruby. He loves the color green and he likes to count and will play Wii sports all day if you let him.
Thank you for your message. Christian's story is very long and sad. We all know the unfair ending he had, but the journey was SO brutal. He will forever inspire me to fight Childhood Cancer until kids aren't dealing with it any more.
What an amazing smile Khalid has! Just infectiously happy! I'm sure he brings you so much joy!
Our son Christian's favorite color was green too. It is all of our favorite color now. I am familiar with Duke and the BMT docs. Great facility! I researched many hospitals when we found out Christian would have to have a BMT. Is Khalid seeing Dr. Kurtsburg (sp?)? She is awesome with stem cell/cord transplants. We will pray for your family.
Hi Danielle, I am so glad to see you joined. I was also happy to hear that Khalid is eating. What a little cuttie!!! Give him hugs from us here in Sudbury and tell him to keep fighting and eatting. I have my son watching over so many for me now and I know he will be there as a guarding angel for you and your family. Tyler worked with 3 and 4 yr olds and they loved him. He had actually landed the job as lead counsler for that group which was an unusual position for a 15yr old to hold. I know he will be ther if Khalid needs him....just call his name. Take car and we look forward to continued good news and updates.
Hi Danielle! Welcome to our group! I am already a member! I am glad you joined. I see you have heard from Bob (AJ's Dad), and now we have to introduce you to Kelly (Tyler Cry's Mom). Thank you for helping the fight against Childhood cancer. Now any time I am too shy to hang AJ's petitions around our ward, you can do it for me! (big smile).
