Congrats to you and your family on ALSF. I lost my daughter to cancer 10 years ago and created Lainie's Angels, www.lainiesangels.org, in her memory. We create parent advocacy programs in hospitals that serve the pediatric oncology and hematology community. Does ALSF support organizations like ours with funding? We certainly need it for our hospital programs, and education and outreach. Please write me through our website. Thanks, Stathi Afendoulis

Hi Jay:
I know that you know people that are constituents of PA! :) I am trying to drum up some support for the passing of a bill in conference for funding for the Caroline Pryce Walker conquer Childhood Act. John Murtha is the congress person to contact. It can be done via the Team Unite link on the top of the page or by the new link posted for CureSearch today. Thank you for your help.

what do we have to do to attend this event Jay? I have to check my schedule but would love to attend. Is there a fee to attend? If so what is the fee? Just not really sure what it is. Have read but need to know my part in it all to be able to participate. Thank you. Thinking of you and yours. Hugs.

Hey Jay, I wanted you to know I got the books and pins. The book is just beautiful. I was able to give the pins out on Monday evening at our PTA meeting. Then Tuesday I gave Abigails teacher her book and a pin. Abi said her teacher read it to the class that morning and just loved it. She also told the class 1st grade that they could do a lemonade stand . It so happen Abi had chemo at 2pm the same day so I was able to take one book and give it to the nurse in the clinic and one book for the girl who runs the kids program at Gilda's. I have kept one for Abigail and was hoping you could send me a few more. i know some people that would like to help me spread the word about finding A CURE .

Hope all is well.

Sincerely,

Maria

I was wondering if I could get a copy of the book for our local library. My son is not in school yet but we go to the library for story hour all the time. Can you let me know how I could get my address and info to you
Thanks Michelle Konish

Jay,

Thanks so much for the books and pins. I'll let you know if I have success with donating them to the local libraries, schools, etc. I have a friend who teaches 2nd and 3rd grade (combo) class; however, I guess the school is a bit weird about accepting donated books. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for all you do,

Diane

Hello Jay, I just read that you are generously distributing free copies of the "Alex and The Amazing Lemonade Stand" book! I would like a copy for my local library, and was wondering how to contact you and request one? We are having fundraising for childhood cancer this month, and it would be a good time to get this book and introduce people to it. Do let me know what email ID I oculd write to you at. Thank you so much!

Hello:
I am really impressed with the amount of money that you raised at the Lemon Ball. I am trying to help out with corporate sponsorships for the Omaha CureSearch Milestones Walk coming up on June 6th. We raised $200,000. last year, our second year of the walk but have not approached many corporations. I am wondering if you have any tips for doing so. I have a list of people that I know to approach but I know that the economic downturn has reduced the amount of money that is being given out locally. We are hoping for another successful walk anyway. Thanks for all that you do.
