Amy battled AML (Acute Mylogenous Leukemia) for 4 1/2 years. She has lived with our Lord since 1999. You'll find Amy's story on our website honoring what would have been her 30th birthday

Hi Linda! Thank you for your kind words. I went on your website and read about your daughter. I think the jewelry is beautiful- what a wonderful way of honoring Amy. I've also been the Tomorrow Fund's website before. It's great to know of so many other organizations that are dedicated to the same cause.

Thanks for making a difference! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

Thanks for your message. Yes, The Tomorrow Fund is a wonderful place. My husband's cousin Julie lost her battle with Leukemia in the 80's. Dr. Forman was her oncologist. Her parents worked with Dr. Forman to help start The Tomorrow Fund. While we were familiar with it before... we are so much more so now. I am so very thankful for the people there.
Perhaps we will meet each other at one of the events someday.

All the best to you and your family.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the encouraging words. We grab hold to anything positive. The hope continues always! So sorry your beautiful daughter lost her battle. This disease is just awful, especially for kids. Thank You! Chris

Jt was in 10th grade when diagnosed and is still on home bound school, in hopes of going back by the third quarter. Did Amy have trouble with the school and graduating? Our school keeps telling me it won't be an issue, but I've heared terrible stories about straight A students who have fought cancer most of their high school years and then being told they can't walk with their class because they are short one credit. JT is not a stright A student but works hard to complete whatever they give him to do.
We are also Cathloic and JT went through confiramation the year before he was dianosed. I'm so glad for that! It helps ease the thoughts that float around in my head at night when I can't sleep. I like you, am grateful to know how special life is and want to share that secret with every parent I meet.

I didn't want to say before because I thought it sound well you know, but yes I would have choosen JT. He is much stronger than his sisters but this has made him question his faith. He just doesn't understand how God can let this happen to little children. I'm hoping he is just going through the normal teenage questions about faith and I know he'll get through it.

It's funny that you said if you had to choose, I had this same conversation with someone several months ago. I'm so glad God doesn't make us choose. :)

Your family has been through so much! Thank you for welcoming me to the group. Cancer has shown me how strong I really am.
