Gone

This is a poem I submitted for publication for the Literary Arts Magizine at my school.

Gone

I wish i could take her pain away,

I wish it could all go,

I wish i could feel it for her,

And not have to see her suffer so,

I wish there was a cure for cancer,

And that more people understood,

What it is like to see someone suffer,

And not be able to help her,

I wish there… Continue

What I have been up to.

Hello everyone, I am sorry I haven’t been here in sometime now but I had things to take care of with Aimee passing, then the holiday’s. I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been working on several different events for this upcoming year. I have been trying to get a telethon set-up for September to coincide with Aimee’s walk that I have scheduled for September 13th. I also wanted to have one in May for brain tumor awareness but was told there isn’t enough time to put one together. I am… Continue

Letter to send with CureSearch - Thomas's story

“Mr. and Mrs. Molina, I’m sorry, but the results are in, and Thomas has relapsed.”

Before I heard this statement, I had always thought that the most terrifying words I would hear were “Your child has leukemia,” which I heard in July of 1999, when my son, Thomas was just three years old. At that time, I was told that he would require the standard treatment of chemotherapy for three years and two months. I remember thinking at the time, “But that’s the same amount of time that his whole life… Continue

Listening to the radio, I hear where this all saving economic stimulus

bill (having been approved by the House) allocates over 300 million

dollars for prevention of sexually transmitted diseases. Now I'm a

little peeved but fully believe that I need to check it out before my

blood pressure goes up. So... I check the bill. (http://

Got Charms?

I know you have some tiny "lucky charms" stashed in a drawer somewhere. What good are they doing you, hidden away like that? Why not put them in an envelope and send them to The Good Medicine Project?

You can send some luck and good wishes to… Continue

11 Years on Sunday 2/1/09

This Sunday will mark the 11th year I have been missing my son, Evan (Little Bear). He lost his battle with leukemia in 1998. His sister, Allie, is turning 12 next month. She was his bone marrow donor twice. Once when she was born when we harvested her cord blood, and a second time at only 10 months old. Unfortunately, it was too late for Evan by the time his second BMT was performed. He was only 3 years old and never got to do so many things. I am grateful to be able to watch his sister go to… Continue

Three Years Without You

Tomorrow will mark the third year since you left us. I can't believe that we have survived it honestly, I thought for sure that first year we would die from broken hearts. But, one day followed the next day, then the next and here we are, three years later, still loving and missing you. There are no words to describe the pain of loving and losing someone like you. You were joy and sunshine all wrapped up in one tiny body. You were a gift, a gift that we were so blessed and honored to… Continue

P.N.E.T. Tumor

P.N.E.T. Tumor doesn't sound like much

A P.N.E.T. tumor took my son from me,

my life, my love, my baby.

How cruel the word "CANCER" can be,

I watched him fight, my hero, my pride,

one day a time, I prayed at his side.

A P.N.E.T. tumor doesn't sound like much,

but it changed my whole life with its cancerous touch.

Silently it grew inside my precious son,

it hid inside his perfect body until the age of 1.

It started with… Continue
