I was so thrilled but still felt uneasy because the symptoms were still there, he complained his "legs felt tickly" so I would take some lotion and massage his calfs to help him fall asleep at night, thats when it seemed to bother his the most but he was also becoming more and more tired with each passing day. he was unable to climb the 2 flights of stairs in our house and wanted to be carried everywhere we went because his legs were "too tired" It was off to disney world to…

Spreading awareness - one urn at a time

Not the way you want to have to get the word out about childhood cancer - talking about the urn you commissioned for your 7-year-old son. Still, any chance we can get to remind people that childhood cancer KILLS kids (it doesn't just make them bald and cute), we'll take it. Eventually, I hope the average citizen gets as sick hearing about kids dying from cancer as I am, and decides to do something about it.…

Take a BITE out of AYA CANCER was a huge success!

Dear Friends and Family,

I guess that this is the best way to begin my letter to you.

On Saturday night over 300 people attended the Steven G AYA Cancer Research Fundraiser for the AYA Cancer Initiative at Rainbow, Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland.

Old and new faces! Old and new friends. Wonderful relatives! A community of people that have continually demonstrated love and support to us over the last four years.

When we decided to… Continue

Some kids that we are very close to (either virtually or physically, but always emotionally) are having a tough time right now. Would you please take a moment and think a good thought, say a prayer, say thanks to someone or no one in particular, in their name? You can also visit their sites and let them know that a lot of people are thinking of them.

Aimee's Army has been busy

Hello everyone,

I am so sorry that I have not spent as much here as I should have, but yes I am a bad one I got addicted to face book like most. Aimee’s Army has so many different things going on this year, which I know will start to raise many eyebrows. Aimee’s Army is working on several different research projects with the Commonwealth Medical School here in Scranton. This is a brand new medical school which has recruited many researchers from all over the country. Sad to say that most… Continue

Donations instead of birthday gifts - We Keep Score Guild

What a way to pay it forward, girl!

I wanted to share my pride that last month my daughter, Carli, asked for donations to the We Keep Score Guild (http://www.wekeepscore.org/) in lieu of her 9th birthday presents. She told me she wanted donations to Seattle Children's Hospital that saved her life, and since she had just received her SCORE card (… Continue

Best Place for Survivor/After Cancer Information?

Hi All. I am sorry I don't post much on PAC2, for some reason, it's half blocked where I work (if that EVEN makes any sense), I can only see text entries, no photos, nothing else and of course, work is where I spend most of my time it seems. When I go home at night, I'm swamped with life of taking care of a 16 yo and a 13 yo and do not like spending my time hunched over a computer. I want to draw a picture to everyone of what I have gone through the last 16 months and I'm not looking for pity… Continue

Finally a voice for the kids on the big screen and from one of us!!!

If you have been following Julian's carepage or my face book , you surely have read about Tyler . Tyler is a little boy who was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a few years back and eventually joined God's army . His Dad Patrick decided to honor Tyler's memory and not in a small way. HOW ABOUT A MOVIE????

" Letters to God " was inspired by Tyler.

The movie is coming out in April in our theaters across the US and the word HAS TO get out!

Here is a link to the website…

{We MUST be} Invincible

"This bloody road remains a mystery," or so Pat Benatar begins her song, "Invincible."

I am mystified. I just can't understand it. Why are we supposed to be satisfied with what Congress has done for us in 2009? I get that we have "champions," and we have "friends," and I am grateful for them. Obviously, we don't have enough of them.

"We've got the RIGHT to be angry. What are we waiting for?"

Since I attended Reach the Day in June and through various interactions… Continue
