To: magazine@nytimes.com (about DIPG silence)

This morning I emailed this message to The New York Times, and invite every/anyone to do the same or similarly.

Please write about DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma)

I’ve been tracking Google News all week, to see if there were any legs from a recent press release via St. Jude Children's Research Hospital about PDGFRA & DIPG (and research in the Journal of Clinical Oncology). There’s nothing to be found, not even in the New… Continue

Max, the "Little Dude," the Lacewells & the Naperville Sun (Naperville, Illinois)

This week the Naperville Sun ran two thoughtful, illustrated articles about Max "Little Dude" Lacewell, as his family ran a garage-sale fundraiser which included Max's Lego's. Naperville is city with a total population of 128,358, and Max apparently touched everyone of its residents. The articles are indexed on Google News.

The Alexs Return to the Preakness, Continuing Two Inspiring Legacies

As many of you may remember, it was 5 years ago when thoroughbred race horse Afleet Alex won the Preakness after narrowly escaping a fall and catastrophe. We remember the gasps and silence as the audience at Pimlico held their breath to see the outcome. Though it was only a second, it felt like minutes until Afleet Alex popped back up and won the race, which was only one of the miraculous things that the horse and his owners…

Kicking off Lemonade Season with a fun flapjack fundraiser!

If our schedules are any indication, the busy time of the year - “lemonade season” - is certainly upon us. Last Saturday, May 1, Jay and I attended two separate kick-off events for The Rose Group’s May fundraising campaign for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Looking for a hero family in South Georgia or Northern Florida

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is looking for a hero family in Southern Georgia or Northern Florida. We have a retailer in the area who is looking for a hero family that can "represent" childhood cancer families as their stores raise funds for childhood cancer research. Email me at jay@alexslemonade.org if you are interested.

Thanks

Jay
