One of the twins is who you are
Double my fun is what you bring...
Blessed with love and blessed with joy
We play, we read, and we like to draw...
Don't you know I'm so eager to see you to be an illustrator?
So sad to see you get so sick
Too bad I can't even do a thing...
Give you hugs and hold you tight
Stay by you in every night.
Close my eyes and make a wish
Hope that you can get well soon.
Keep on… Continue

Jakob looks forward to going to cancer camp every year with Camp Quality. However his brother Logan always feels left out and has at times said he wishes he could have cancer so he could go to camp too. Only if they knew what they were saying. A nurse resently told me about this camp that also does sibling camp. We are looking into how we can fit it into the budget to send Logan but thought anyone that lives close might like to know about it. Below is the link…

I was contacted by this company to place a link on my web site and thought everyone might find it useful.
We work to increase the number of donors on the registry so that every cancer patient has a fair shot of finding their perfect match. What makes us unique is that we do not charge donors for the $65 tissue typing test. We perform HLA- A*, B*, C*, DR* high-resolution typing on every registered donor minimizing the search time for finding the best possible donor… Continue

Ok I think I have it all but one thing listed now. I made a Reach The Day bracelet and am waiting for Cure Search to send it back to me. Everyone who is a pac2 memeber gets 50% off just send me an email at staci@ beadsofhope.com (remove the spaces) with what you would like. Let me know if you have any ideas on new things to design. I am putting together some line sheets to send out to retailers.
I love the challenge from others ideas. If you have any special words I can do that to.… Continue

Hi everyone. My name is Colin and I joined PAC2 a couple of months ago. My son Dillon passed away April 18, 2008. I have a question for parents that might be in my shoes. Its a question that I have wondered about posting because it is a kind of how could that be what you are worried about question. I wanted to know what others might be doing about debt or have done about debt after the loss of a child. We were lucky in the fact that between my work's insurance and insurance we qualified for… Continue

On Saturday we returned from Grace's wish trip to Disneyworld. We had a wonderful time. The kids were particularly enamoured of The Give Kids the World Village
where we stayed. With horseback riding, ice cream, swimming, and Santa... who needs Disney!!! We were told that Matthew's Boundless Playground, named for Rich M's son, was not yet open because of the construction all around it. Since I'm not so good at being told no, we went to check it out anyway. A nice man with a key let us in… Continue

I really don't understand people. A while back Aimee and I were at Price Chopper picking up a few things. Aimee always uses the electric wheelchair so I can push the shopping cart. When we entered the store a man was selling newspapers and stopped me. Aimee went over to the produce to start getting what we needed. When I reached her, a women came up to me and told me I was a rotten Mother for allowing my child to play on something that was meant for disabled people. She wanted Aimee to give her… Continue

I am sure someone here can tell me, where does one start to organize a walk? I would love to organize one in my area, but honestly have no idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just have to get this off my chest, that most people REALLY don't want to know what it's like to have a child with cancer. The truth is that they are deep down hoping you will say, Kate's doing good today, when they ask how she is. They don't REALLY want to know that waking her up to go to her biweekly doctors apt (an hour away) is one of the hardest parts. Knowing that when you walk into her room, you are going to wake her & take her to get "medicine" that will make her sick as hell,… Continue

Dear Caitlyn, Did you know?
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You made me happy... when skies were gray
You'll never know dear, How much I love You..
Please don't take my sunshine away!
The other night, dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you
In my arms
But when I woke up,
I was mistaken
Then I hung my head
and I… Continue

Pediatric cancer deserves more funds, higher profile
By LIZ SCOTT and JAY SCOTT

When our daughter, Alexandra “Alex” Scott, was diagnosed with childhood cancer in 1996, we were as frightened as two young parents could be. Both under the age of 30, we were not only terrified by the realization that our daughter had a disease that could prove terminal,… Continue

We are so glad to be here helping fight this with you all. This is a busy time for us. I changed the boys pediatrician and he had ordered a boatload of labs, xrays, and stool cultures on the boys. Now he is sending them to GI specialist and today Noah is now going to go see my lung specialist for his lungs and possible sleep apnea. Since my van is broke down and I'm only using my ex's car I cant take us to our dermotogist for our skin checks in San Fransisco because his car only… Continue

The first annual Aimee Dickey walk for childhood cancer was to me a huge success. Aimee’s friend Lizzie who was very strong in getting Aimee’s Army going, with the help of her Mom Kim and another good friend Laura, came from Arizona to join Aimee in her walk. Next year Lizzie is going to have one in AZ at the same time we have ours here in PA. What a wonderful friend to have. Even though the weather was very cold and windy the turn out was great. About 200 people off and on all day came and… Continue
