What a neat story to have about your son. We had a similar experience, but on a smaller scale. We were in Walmart and an army soldier in camo was behind us in line. He was watching Jonah on his prosthetic leg. He asked "is there anything he can't do?" I replied "not really" and he smiled and said "I didn't think so." He asked why he lost his leg and was surprised when I said he just lost it a year ago to cancer. He was amazed at how well Jonah got around. We were ready to check out and the soldier took an American flag patch off the arm of his uniform and handed it to Jonah. Then he took an eagle patch off his other arm and gave it to my younger son. I don't think Jonah and Judah understood how neat this was, but I will never forget it.

One of the guys on the US swim team has testicular cancer. They said the other night that he was putting off surgery, with his doctor's approval, until after the games.
