Didn't happen yesterday. Probably won't today. Someday though....

tough...yet...somehow, there is inspiration. In the brackets....in the promises I've made. In the people. In the things I read. Today I read another Dad's blog about the worst day of his life, so far..... No more treatment for his Son. To know that another Dad, another Son is faced with that day. There are just no words that can describe it. All from just a simple twist of fate...i guess

So, we plow forward. No regrets. No looking back. Moving forward. Right?

I mean, how many times do we have to say it? How often? In how many different ways? Does it only sink in if it effects you personally? What TF does it take? Why would we have to fight for this so hard? Certainly because it is a worthy cause. But what is there about it that makes it so hard to get support? Should we just pick a day and fight to have every ped-onc floor in the country visited by a TV news crew? Not a bad idea. Why aren't there a million signatures yet?

ah....people are busy. The economy sucks. Not as bad as this though...

It's like being a #16 against a #1 in the opening round. Just never happened...yet you show up. You prepare. You play. Harder than ever. There is no choice. You just do. So...let's root for a 16. Because someday....it will happen. Just gotta keep showing up. Working harder than ever. Someday....just keep shooting buddy...

Today we play.

Thanks for reading my blog. I had read yours earlier today and tried to comment with my own but it was too long. I had added a line for you and all the other parents who have lost children. I simply mentioned that I want Hank to meet AJ, and all the other kids who have lost their lives to childhood cancer, in athletic tournaments, in college or in a career, not in heaven. May we all strive to keep our club on earth exclusive, till we are all reunited again. Keeping the faith as best we can and as AJ, Hank and all of our children would want, Matt

I just witnessed over 120 people get their heads shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research and not one person turned us down when we asked them to sign the petition. Today is a great day of hope for me.
I keep this blessing in my mind a lot these days:
May God bless you with holy anger at injustice, oppression, and exploitation of people, so that you may tirelessly work for justice, freedom, and peace among all people.
May God bless you with enough foolishness to believe that you really CAN make a difference in this world, so that you are able to do what other claim cannot be done.
