Thank you and I am glad to of found this site. Just checking out your page here has helped me to realize more about Kendall and you. I have to go now, but look forward to seeing you here. Please tell Kendall that Kendal in Alaska sends her love. You, Benji are a most amazing person, the time and the things you do for and with Kendall...he will never forget you, ever. God Bless
dear Benji...it has taken me a while to respond to you...tried to take a year to heal...didn't work. the healing takes place by giving back...we raised almost 100,000 in honor of Carson and plan on donating it to study Carson's brain waiting in Dallas at U.T. Southwestern to be studied for the recurrence of medulloblastoma.
I AM SO PLEASED CARRYME has been a blessing to you and your sphere of influence...
I would love to know Kendalls favorite person, thing ,place. I have a company that I could make him something to decorate his room for free. It is removable and will not damage the hospital walls. We do things like this for the Make a Wish Foundation. I you could supply an address of some sort of something Kendall really loves. It can even be you and everyone he loves. So when you are not there he will see you. I would love to do this for Kendall. He has to have a heart of gold.
Thank you for your note. It was a pleasant surprise. I hear you loud and clear about the scars. I just wrote about that very thing in my most recent caringbridge. This site is new to me but I will definitely take some time and get to know it better. Thanks again!
Thank you for your kind comments. I continued to be inspired by the courage and love in the children and families that I encounter every day. I came to this website by way of a mother who lost her son to a brain tumor, and she has since started her organization www.kidsvcancer.org and began lobbying congress/governemnt to increase research funding and awareness of pediatric cancers. Please visit her website if you are interested.
Thank you for taking the time to share how Carry Me has helped you personally and helped you help others! You are right...my heart will never ever recover that my Carson died from cancer. Yet I must carry on...he would have insisted. Carson would have been very pleased that his booked helped you and helped others at the hospital you volunteer in...and feel free to share Carson's website (http://www.carsonlesliefoundation.org/?20e4afc0). Let me know if the bookstore at the hospital you volunteer in would like to have his book available.
I am thrilled beyond belief that Carry Me has helped you understand what it was like for a kid to fight for life...something so unimaginable...
Hey, if anyone of your friends would like a copy...just send them to Carson's website: www.carsonlesliefoundation.org and we will send them their very own copy!
The cost is only $15 and ALL the proceeds goes to pediatric cancer research...a
We sure are going to Chilis!! Cant miss that trip!!! I'm just thankful that there is a place like St Jude. THe commercials are very true. They dont ask for anything. No money, no insurance card, havent been asked to pay for a thing. It is a very special place and I will help them any way I can.
Thank you for your kind words! My daughter, Abby, is an out patient at St Jude Childrens Research Hospital. Chilis supports them and I'm actually throwing her a Celebration party tomorrow night. Sept 18 she will be 1 year CANCER FREE!! I'm very blessed to still be able to hold on to her. She is my life, the apple of my eye!!!
Thank you for your kind words. It really means so much. I am trying to honor Annie by doing whatever is possible to put an end to this horrific disease. I am so sorry to hear about your child. I will be saying prayers for you and your family.
Hi Benji! Thanks for welcoming me to the group. I just wanted to let you know that I am adding Mighty Kendall and his family to my prayer list. So hard and unbelivable. The button for the petition is on my blog. debihamari.blogspot.com/Debi' Studio.
Oh, I don't feel uncomfortable at all. I guess, just beginning to verbalize on "paper" things...makes it a bit difficult. I thank you again for your understanding.
Also please know that my prayers are with you and your friend. Hoping things go well.
