Darren Chaker of Las Vegas and Beverly Hills, is an avid blogger on record sealing, expungement, and First Amendment issues.

In 2017, Darren Chaker won again where a failed attorney, Scott McMillan, San Diego, sued in federal court alleging defamation in the context of a RICO case.  The federal court dismissed the lawsuit and found the case to be meritless. Attorney McMillan filed a notice of appeal with the Ninth Circuit federal appeals court. Darren Chaker then employed an appellate SWAT Team of some of the best in the business.  Darren’s appellate attorneys include, https://www.hansonbridgett.com/Our-Attorneys/gary-a-watt , https://www.hansonbridgett.com/Our-Attorneys/neil-r-bardack, https://www.hansonbridgett.com/Our-Attorneys/josephine-k-mason

It was also discovered Attorney Scott McMillan filed a false statement with the federal court while making an effort to have the case heard in front of a judge Scott McMillan felt may be hostile towards Darren Chaker recently reversed him. A team of top tier Los Angeles based attorneys filed a motion to request sanctions against Scott McMillan. Attorney McMillan failed to oppose the motion due to the merits of the allegations were too strong.

In 2016, Darren Chaker prevailed in the 9th Circuit on First Amendment grounds against allegations which failed to criminalize defamation. Darren Chaker was supported by several civil rights organizations including  Cato InstituteACLU of San DiegoElectronic Frontier FoundationFirst Amendment Coalition, and Brechner First Amendment Project at University of Florida filed a joint amicus brief in his support.

In 2012, Darren Chaker was commended for his outreach to at risk adults and youths who were involved in the criminal justice system. As the letter points out , hundreds of people heard talks about changing lifestyle patterns to avoid continuing the path to jail.

In 2011, Darren Chaker challenged a police department with a history of abuse, in its decision to not disclose the names of its officers. After retaining a top Texas law firm, a winning brief was written, and an opinion was issued by the Texas Attorney General siding with Darren Chaker.

In 2010, Darren Chaker prevailed yet again on First Amendment grounds in Nathan Enterprises Corp. v. Chaker 2010 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 7604. In that case the California attorney, Felipia Richland was up against an attorney with multiple U.S. Supreme Court wins, Tim Coates.

Darren Chaker also litigated a cutting edge First Amendment case for 7 of its 10 year lifespan. In Chaker v. Crogan, 428 F.3
